Ronald J. Whittier
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Ronald Whittier brings over 30 years of experience to Convera. Prior to joining Convera, Mr. Whittier was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel Corporation's Interactive Media Services Group, which focused on addressing the needs of high value content owners and distributing their content over the Internet. During his 30-year career with Intel, he was the General Manager of the Memory Products Division and the Director of Corporate Marketing.

Mr. Whittier also founded and managed the Intel Architecture Labs and the Content Group. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, both in Chemical Engineering.

Patrick C. Condo
President and CEO

Patrick Condo has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Convera Corporation since its inception in 2001, following five years as President and CEO of Excalibur Technologies (which merged with Intel’s Interactive Media Services Division to form Convera). His prior experience includes senior executive positions with Digital Equipment Corporation, Harris Semiconductor and Northrop Aircraft. Mr. Condo holds a B.S.B.A. degree in Management and Finance from Suffolk University.

Matthew G. Jones
Chief Financial Officer

Matthew Jones brings over 20 years financial and strategic leadership experience to his position as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Jones previously served as CFO at Space Adventures, LTD, a leading provider of space flight training, tourism and related travel; CFO, Treasurer and Secretary for PC Data, Inc.; and CFO for The Netplex Group, Inc. He also held management positions with Telos Corporation and Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Jones is a CPA and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration/Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from California State University.

David Nunnerley
Senior Vice President, Engineering

Since joining Convera in 1996, Mr. Nunnerley has been instrumental in developing the company's performance-driven search and categorization technology platform, RetrievalWare™, as well as the development of Screening Room® for managing video assets. In August 2005, he became responsible for Convera's Presales, Professional Services, Customer Support and Datacenter Operations for the new Excalibur Web Search.

Prior to Convera, he was Vice President of Engineering for Videopress Software, a software company providing video delivery products and solutions to cable companies deploying cable modems. He also worked at Digital Equipment Corp. for 15 years in various product management/marketing, engineering and management positions associated with Databases, VAX/VMS, MicroVMS, VAXClusters, Transaction Processing, Multimedia and Interactive Television.

Mr. Nunnerley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich, London, England.

Graham Charlesworth
Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Graham Charlesworth manages Convera's world-wide sales and marketing activities.

He joined Convera in 1995 as General Manager of the UK Operations and has been a key strategist in the evolution of Convera from the company's origin in document imaging and text retrieval through to its position today as the leading pioneer of vertical search services.

Mr. Charlesworth has over 20 years experience in the software industry, having worked previously in the Mechanical Design Automation market with PAFEC and Parametric Technology Corporation. Mr. Charlesworth holds a B.Sc. Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham Trent University.

Kerim Tumay
Vice President of Solutions

As Vice President of Solutions, Kerim Tumay leads the global vertical publishing solutions organization which includes Implementation, Monetization, Applications Engineering, and Product Management. He was instrumental in the development of Convera’s vertical search strategy, initial implementations, and Publisher Control Panel.

Prior to joining Convera, Mr. Tumay held Vice President positions with CACI and ProModel Corp. and contributed to the success of modeling and simulation solutions in hundreds of enterprises, including Boeing, DuPont, Ernst & Young, GE, IBM, Union Pacific, and the US government.

Mr. Tumay holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems from Arizona State University.
